Baccara Automation Control have a comprehensive range of plastic flowmeters, based on the variable area principle, which are corrosion resistant, extremely accurate, simple to use and maintain, and which possess considerable impact resistance. Compact and Rugged

VISI-RATE's tough polysulphone construction measures less than 125 mm (5 inches) long and 38 mm (11/2 inches) in diameter

suitable for permanent installation in lubrication, cooling and hydraulic pump case drain systems.

Mount in Any Orientation

VISI-RATE will provide stable, accurate readings when mounted in any piping orientation.

Fluid Inspection

The transparent body of the meter permits visual inspection of fluid conditions.

Excessive aeration, contamination or discoleration can be diagnosed "at a glance".

Patented Sensing Method

VISI-RATE's patented helical-torque sensing method assures measurement accuracy of better than 95% of actual flow rates - even with variable fluid parameters. Pat. No. 4,393,723

The VISI-RATE flowmeter has a low mass axial turbine which is urged towards zero flow rate by a precision torsion spring. As fluid flows past the turbine blades, a rotational torque is imposed onto the turbine and spring causing the turbine to rotate to a position where the spring's return force equals the fluid torque. Since variable fluid flow rate causes variable fluid torque, flow rate is measured by correlating turbine rotational displacement to flow rate.

The VISI-RATE flow indicator operates without the torsion spring, allowing the turbine to spin freely within the fluid stream.

A chart which approximates turbine PRM to GPM/LPM is supplied with the Installation Instructions.

Maintainable

Can be easily cleaned or replaced without removing the sensor from the piping.

Dynamic measuring technique will not falsely indicate flow rate when none is present.

Comes factory calibrated to your flow range specifications. Simply plumb and apply power.

Integrated circuitry allows unit to be directly connected to your analog acquisition cards, chart recorders or other monitoring instruments. No need to mount external conditioning circuitry.

Standard sensor interface is a 2-wire, 4-20mA current loop that can be transmitted for several thousand feet an a low cost wire without degradation. Voltage and pulse outputs are available.

Versatility

Ideal for measuring flow rates in cooling and lubrication circuits, HVAC systems, aggressive chemical metering and batching systems.
